Start the extraction process

After you created an extraction configuration, such as a JDBC extraction or an SAP extraction, you must start the process to extract the data from the data source and import it into ARIS Process Mining.

  1. Open a project.

  2. Click Extraction in the Data set panel. The Extractions section opens. The created extraction configurations are listed on the Extractions page.

  3. Click system integration Extract all to start an extraction process for all listed extraction configurations or select an extraction in the list and click system integration Extract. The Run extraction dialog opens.

  4. You can start the extraction process with the default values that are configured for dynamic parameters.

    To start the extraction process with the default values for all listed extraction configurations, click the More options button near to system integration Extract all > With defaults. The Run extraction dialog opens.

    To start the extraction process with the default values for specific extraction configurations, select extraction configurations in the list and click the More options button near to system integration Extract > With defaults. The Run extraction dialog opens.

  5. Click Run to start the extraction process.

The data extraction is started.

The extraction process may take a few minutes. You can check the status of the started data extraction in the Run log section.

Note that you cannot change the extraction configuration while the data extraction is running.

After the source data has been extracted successfully, you can configure a data transformation before specifying the required data model.
