Create calculated fields for an analysis
You can create new calculated fields while you define your analysis and components using the Model panel. The new field is also added to the analysis model of the data set and is available for all analyses based on this analysis model.
Variables and parameters allow you to create calculated fields that can be dynamically assigned values.
Note that when changing the calculation rule of an existing field within the App builder, app components such as charts are not automatically updated to reflect this change. The change is only reflected after changing the configuration of an affected component or by switching apps.
On the Configuration panel, click + Add dimension or + Add measure. The Model panel displays the fields that you can use as criteria for your analysis.
Click + New field to add a calculated field.
Select the object to which you want to add the calculated field, for example, the Case object.

Enter a name for the new field in the corresponding input box, for example, New calculated field.
Select a method to define the calculation rule. To create an activity field, only the code and visual editors are available.
Code editor: Use the code editor to define any calculation rule.
