Create a data set
You can create a new data set that provides the data for your analyses. A data set stores the data extracted from a data source, such as an SAP data source system or a JDBC database. You can use a data set in multiple projects for a wide variety of analyses.
Click the
Navigation menu icon in the program header.
Select
Data collection. The Data collection opens and shows the Data sets page.
If you have already opened a data set, the recently opened data set is opened. Click
Back in the Data set panel to open the Data set page.
Click + New data set in page header. The corresponding dialog opens.
Enter a data set name in the relevant input field.
In the Process mining approach drop-down menu, select whether you want to use case-centric process mining or object-centric process mining for this data set. Note that you cannot change the process mining approach afterwards.
You can optionally add a data set description and a data set owner to provide additional information about the data set. The specified data set information is displayed as a tooltip when you move the mouse pointer over a data set name, for example.
Click Describe data set. Additional options are displayed.
Enter a description in the relevant input field.
Enter a valid user name in the Owner input field.
Click Create.
The data set is created and opens with its Overview page.
