Specify field format and granularity

You can specify numeric fields as a number or time span and set the corresponding scaling, for example, milliseconds for the time span.

Additionally, you can specify the granularity of date fields, for example, years or weeks.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Open a data set.

  2. Click Analysis model in the Data set panel. The Analysis model section opens.

  3. Specify numeric fields.

    1. Move the mouse pointer to a field in the Model panel of numbers Number type, then click the ... icon of the selected field > administration Settings. The corresponding field options dialog opens.

    2. Select the format for the field values in the Format drop-down menu, such as Number or Time span.

    3. Select the scaling for the field values in the corresponding drop-down menu.

    4. Click Done.

  4. Specify date fields.

    1. Move the mouse pointer to a field in the Model panel of Date Date type, then click the ... icon of the selected field > administration Settings. The corresponding field options dialog opens.

    2. Select the granularity in the Granularity drop-down menu.

    3. Click Apply.

Your settings are applied.
