Use insight links

Share the insight link with other users, or use the insight link in an external tool to request data by means of the created REST-API URL.

Note that the number of retrievable lines is limited to 10,000 lines.

Prerequisite

You created an insight link.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open the Insight links section.

  2. Select an insight link.

  3. Share the link with other users or use the link in an external tool that supports the REST-API.

    1. Click Create external link. A dialog with a newly created link opens.

    2. Click the Paste icon to copy the link to the clipboard.

    3. Click Close.

      The external link is created, and a green dot indicates that the insight link has an external link. You can now share the copied link with other users or you can use the link in an API to access the data of the specified insight link. The required access privileges are automatically granted via the external link.

  4. You can replace an existing external link with a new one.

    1. Click Recreate link. A dialog with the newly created link opens. The option is available only if an external link had already been created for the insight link.

    2. Click the Paste icon to copy the link to the clipboard.

    3. Click Close.

      The new external link is created and the previously created external link is no longer valid.

  5. You can use the insight link in a data source operator of an ARIS dashboard.

    1. Click Create link for ARIS dashboards A dialog with a newly created link opens.

    2. Click the Paste icon to copy the link to the clipboard.

    3. Click Close.

      You can now use the copied insight link as a URL, for example, in the ARIS table and JSON data source operators in ARIS dashboards. For details on using data source operators in ARIS dashboards, please refer to the ARIS help. The required access privileges are granted via single sign-on (SSO).

You enabled other users or tools to request analysis data from ARIS Process Mining using insight links.

You can revoke the access to the ARIS Process Mining data, which you gave to other users. Select an insight link and click Revoke link. The insight link is no longer valid and the green dot that indicates that an external link was created for the insight link is removed.

You can edit or delete insight links. Select an insight link and click Edit or Delete. Note that deleted links cannot be restored.
