Manage access to projects

You can allow other ARIS Process Mining and ARIS users and user groups to edit, delete, and set privileges for a project. By default, only the creator of a project has full access to the project. The creator is allowed to use, edit, delete, and set privileges for the project.

Users assigned to a user group automatically inherit the privileges assigned to the group. You can assign users to a group in the User management component in ARIS.

If a user has certain privileges for a project, the user automatically receives these privileges for the project's child analyses. For example, if a user has the View and Edit privileges for a project, the user automatically has these privileges for the analyses belonging to this project. Note that this rule applies only to analyses created in this project. For example, if you have copied an analysis from another project and set the privileges for that analysis, changing the privileges for the project does not affect the existing analysis.

You can set the following privileges:

  • View allows this user or user group to view the project.

  • Edit allows this user or user group to view and edit the project.

  • Delete allows this user or user group to delete the project.

  • Set privileges allows this user or user group to set privileges for the project.

Note that users with this privilege can also revoke the privilege from you.
