Display as percentage share

You can display the percentage share of a measure in relation to another measure. The percentage share divides the result of a measure calculation by either a constant value or another measure calculation. A measure calculation is a combination of any measure field with an appropriately specified aggregation.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open the App builder.

  2. You can insert a new component or configure an already inserted component, such as a line chart.

    Click Add Add new component, or click a component > administration Configure. The corresponding Configuration panel opens.

  3. Click Add measure in the Configuration panel to add a measure for which you want to specify a percentage share.

  4. Select a field to be used as a measure, such as Number of cases.

  5. Select an aggregation that will be used to calculate the measure values, such as Sum (SUM).

  6. Click Done. The selected measure is added to the Configuration panel.

  7. Move the mouse pointer over the measure in the Configuration panel and click the Configure Configure icon.

  8. Enable the Display as percentage share option.

  9. You can specify a value for Base (100% value) for share calculation. That is, you can specify a constant value or another measure to which you want to relate the selected measure.

    Enter a value in the input field or click the calculate icon and select an appropriate measure.

  10. You can change the format if necessary. The default in this case is Percentage.

Your settings are applied and the percentage share of the selected measure is displayed in the chart.

The following examples show you how to specify the percentage share of a measure. The examples will help you to get familiar with the calculation of the measure ratio.
