Measure
A measure is a numerical value of a data record that can be used with mathematical functions. For example, a sales revenue field is a measure because you can determine the total or average. Measures are the value fields of data records that are aggregated (for example, summed or averaged) to obtain final results.
The measure identifier is a unique name that identifies a measure used in a component. When a measure is added to a component, the identifier is created automatically, but can be changed by the user.
