Event logs
In object-centric process mining (OCPM), event logs are stored as object-centric event logs (OCEL). Unlike classical logs that force each event into a single case, an OCEL links every event to one or more business objects of possibly different types (for example, order, item, invoice, customer), which is the foundation that makes OCPM possible.
An event log is the sequence of all events that involved a specific object type. In OCPM, each object type can have its own event log, unlike case-centric process mining, which uses a single event log. There can also be object types without events and hence without an event log.
