Change transformation settings

You can change the name, view name, and view namespace of an existing transformation.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Open the Transformations section of a data set, for example, the Purchase to Pay data set.

  2. Move the mouse pointer over a transformation and enable the corresponding check box to select the transformation, for example, the DIM_PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM transformation.

  3. Click Configure. The Configure transformation dialog opens.

  4. Make your settings.

    1. Enter a name. The name must be unique, for example, TEMP_PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM.

    2. Enter a view name, for example, TEMP_PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM. The view name is displayed in the list of created transformations.

    3. Enter a view namespace, for example, PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM. The view namespace is used to sort and summarize the created transformations.

      Note that "_ARIS" is not allowed as a namespace.

    4. If you want the result of the transformation to be unavailable in the data model, disable the Is visible in data model option. This could be the case if it is only an intermediate result, for example. The transformation can no longer be added to the data model.
