Add descriptions to fields

You can add a description to a field to provide information about a field. System fields, that is, fields created by ARIS Process Mining, automatically receive a description by default. However, you can also edit the descriptions of system fields.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Open a data set.

  2. Click Analysis model in the Data set panel. The Analysis model section opens.

  3. Move the mouse pointer to a field in the Model panel, then click the ... icon of the selected field > administration Settings. The corresponding field options dialog opens.

  4. You can enter a description in the corresponding input field.

  5. Click Apply.

Your settings are applied.

For example, you can display the description in the tooltip of a field. To do this, move the mouse pointer to the field in the Model panel, for example. Click Show more in the displayed tooltip. The option is only available in the tooltip if a description is available for the field.
