Case measures
Case start time
The case start time is defined as the activity start time of the first activity occurring in the case. See points 1 and 4 in the flow chart below.
Case end time
The case end time is defined as the activity end time of the last activity occurring in the case. See points 3 and 5 in the flow chart below.
Case duration
The case duration is defined as the time span between the case start time and the case end time. See points 1 and 2 in the flow chart below.
Number of activities per case
The absolute number of activities occurring in the case. Activities that occur several times in a case are counted several times according to their frequency.
Number of cases
The number of cases measure always has the value 1 and is used to count the cases by using the SUM aggregation.
Number of connections per case
The number of connections occurring within the case.
Variant ID
The system groups into variants the unique path from the beginning to the end of a process. Refers to to the unique variant (path) to which the case belongs.
